"I built the community I wish had existed when I was starting out."
— Emma James, Founder, The Therapy Hub UK
About Emma
I've spent years in the counselling profession — in training rooms, supervision groups, and the quieter, harder hours of private practice. Across all of it, the same thing kept coming up in conversation: where do we go?
Not for a directory listing. Not for a Facebook group with 18,000 members and a thousand opinions. Somewhere genuinely professional, but also warm — a place that respects the work we do and the people doing it.
The Therapy Hub UK is what I built when I stopped waiting for someone else to build it. It's the staff room, the CPD shelf, the gentle nudge to keep going, and the quiet network of colleagues — all in one place.
If you've ever felt isolated in this profession, or just wanted somewhere that feels right, I hope you'll come and see what we're building.

The story
A community, growing intentionally.
The Therapy Hub UK began as a private space for a handful of practitioners I trusted. It grew because the need was real — therapists wanted somewhere that wasn't loud, wasn't transactional, and wasn't trying to sell them another funnel-building course.
Today, the Hub is opening to a wider community of UK practitioners, with a public directory, a curated resource library, peer support spaces and a small, carefully built calendar of events and CPD.
The plan from here is slow and deliberate: more depth, better resources, stronger collaborations — and a membership that always feels considered, never crowded.
Our values
What this community is built on.
Community
We're built around genuine connection — not metrics. Members are colleagues first, and the space is curated so honest conversation can actually happen.
Accessibility
Membership is intentionally affordable. The Hub is for the new graduate as much as the seasoned supervisor — everyone deserves a professional home.
Professional Growth
Every resource, conversation and connection is here to support your development. We take the work — and the people who do it — seriously.
